Jak na teamový sealed deck
Když mne redakce CMUSu oslovila se žádostí o článek na téma Team Limited, trochu mne to zaskočilo. Konec konců na články o limited tu jsou jiní kosové. Ale na druhou stranu, co by člověk neudělal pro pár boosterů, že? :-)
Tak tedy... Většina to asi velice dobře ví a i sám název to jasně říká, ale čistě pro pořádek bych úvodem řekl to nejpodstatnější. Rozdílem Team Limited oproti "normálnímu" Magicu je to, že hrajete v teamu. :-)
Team je tvořen třemi hráči, každý z nich má svůj hrací balík a samotný průběh jejich her se příliš neliší od jakéhokoliv jiného hraní. Ty rozdíly jsou vlastně jen tři, z toho jeden se týká pouze constructed (což není tématem tohoto článku), důležitost druhého je diskutabilní a třetí rozdíl... ten je naprosto zásadní. Tyto rozdíly jsou:

Své tři balíky staví team z celkem dvanácti boosterů. V současnosti to je šest boosterů Theros a šest boosterů Born of the Gods. To je hodně karet, ale ani tak to neznamená, že bude vždy dost materiálu pro tři samostatné balíky. A právě při stavbě balíků se může nejvíce projevit (ne)schopnost teamové spolupráce. Ať už to je schopnost dohodnout se společně na skladbě a strategii jednotlivých balíků, stejně jako schopnost se pro tým obětovat a hrát poněkud slabší balík s malou šancí na výhru. Protože jak už bylo řečeno - vítězí team, který vyhraje dvě partie, Často se stane, že ve svých dvanácti boosterech team najde dostatek karet pro dva dobré balíky se solidní šancí na výhru. Rozmělnit tyto karty do tří balíků může pomoci tomu, že ani třetí balík nebude jen kupka odpadků a hráč, který bude tento balík pilotovat si nebude během her připadat jako otloukánek. ale pomůže to výsledku celého teanu?
Osobně si myslím že ne. V takových případech je většinou lepším řešením postavit ty dva silné balíky, které by měly být při správně pilotáži schopné vyhrát většinu svých her (a společně tedy i celé zápasy). Třetí balík pak postavit ze zbylých karet tak, aby měl nějaký plán a solidní šanci na výhru "když se věci dějí správně". Tedy například velice agresivní balík, který ztrestá pomalejší začátek soupeře, ale nemá šanci v delších hrách. Nebo naopak pomalejší balík, který nemá nárok proti rychlému soupeři, ale v delších hrách vyhraje na sílu svých předražených kouzel. Nebo.... nebo cokoliv jiného, co má nějakou myšlenku a šanci. Nebude sice vyhrávat tak často, ale s trochou štěstí vyhraje alespoň někdy. A třeba zrovna pomůže nahradit občasné prohry jednoho ze dvou silnějších balíků.
V každém případě platí - komunikace a schopnost dohodnout se je základ. To nejhorší co může team po rozbalení karet udělat je, že si každý hráč začne skládat svůj balík bez komunikace s ostatními, že se hráči budu přetahovat a předhánět kdo si do svého balíku dříve "ukradne" kterou silnou kartu... To s největší pravděpodobností povede ke třem ne zrovna optimálním balíkům a patrně také spoustě nevyužitých karet a možností ve "slabších" barvách.
Jak by to celé mohlo vypadat v prostředí Theros - Born of the Gods? Vše samozřejmě záleží na konkrétních otevřených kartách, ale v obecné rovině lze říci, že postavit tři balíky se smysluplnou strategií by nemělo být až tak problematické. Jednou ze stěžejních mechanik tu je devotion. Pokud v některé barvě budeme mít dostatek hratelných permanentů a zároveň i karet s devotion mechanikou, přímo se nabízí postavit (skoro) jednobarevný balík. Další výraznou mechanikou je heroic a je tedy dobré se podívat, zda máme v nějaké kombinaci dvou barev dostatek vhodných karet pro balík postavený kolem této mechaniky. No a samozřejmě vždy se může stát, že ve svých kartách obdržíte nějakou mimořádnou pecku či sestavu karet, jež si budou říkat o vlastní balík.
Dost už ale teoretizování, není přeci nad praktickou ukázku. Tady je jeden konkrétní card pool pro teamový sealed deck
(Omlouvám se za nepřehlednost je prostě opravdu hodně karet. Karty tu jsou uvedeny nejprve v tabulce a následně jako obrázek... každý nechť použije to co je pro něj přehlednější)

Jaké balíky tu "vidím" hned po rozbalení? Vidím našlapanou modrou se třemi Thassa's Emisary a třemi Wavecrash Tritony, k tomu dost neskutečnou Prognostic Sphinx. Dále vidím solidní základ pro zeleno/bílý či zeleno/červený tlak. A pak tu máme Phenax, God of Deception, který je podle mne právě tou zmiňovanou možností pecky co si řekne o vlastní balík.Je jen otázkou zda jej cpát do již tak hodně dobré modré, stavět je primárně v černé, kde krom jednoho Grey Merchant of Aphodel a Agent of Fates žádné velké hity nečekají, nebo jej použít jako splash v nějakém černo/něco či modro/něco balíku, který se soustředí na "zapikování hry a následné umletí soupeře.
ZDŮRAZŇUJI: Toto je to, co mne napadne po prvním prohlédnutí karet a jak by to nakonec dopadlo při samotné stavbě, toť už je jiná otázka. Každopádně já bych chtěl takto začít.
Jak ale bylo řečeno, u teamového sealed decku jsou tři členové teamu a to bude většinou znamenat i tři názory na věc. Požádal jsem proto pár dalších hráčů, aby se na tyto karty podívali a zkusili mi svůj první nástřel říct oni. Jejich odpovědi:

Tomáš Klimeš: Na první pohled tam vykukuje monogreen tlak(3 Swordwise Centauři, 2x Aspect of Hydra), na druhý se ale bojím že toho není dost (hlavně bytostí), takže by pravděpodobně byla nutná splash. Třeba modrá? Využije se v tlaku fajn Agent of Horizon, Voyage´s end/Sudden Storm na uklízení obránců, na doplnění bytostí Nimbus najáda, Thasin Krab, Vaporkin... |
Tento hráč si nepřál být jmenován, nicméně jde o člověka jež hraje déle než jsou mladší hráči CMUSu na světě, má za se bou uřast na mnoha Gradn Prix a jednom Pro Tour... Jsem si neodpustil komplet decklisty. Jak praví klasik: "Me to bavi". Navíc člověk odhalí, že do na první pohled pěkného decku mu nakonec chybí několik karet. |

Dlužno dodat, že kluci ode mne dostali karty v podobě excelovské tabulky, s kompletními texty, ale bez obrázků, což orientaci a přehlednosti moc nepomáhá. Ale i tak se s tím poprali statečně a všem třem bych chtěl tímto poděkovat.
Nechme stranou fakt, že team je tvořen třemi hráči a my tu teď mámě dokonce pět názorů jak začít se stavbou. Důležité je si všimnout, že naše názory sice nejsou zcela protichůdné, ale dva stejné názory se tu také nevyskytují. A to je přesně to co v tomto článku stále opakuji - je potřeba se umět dohodnout. Není ani tak důležité, zda dohody bude dosaženou tak, že dva přehlasují třetího, dva ustoupí třetímu protože "on to umí líp", budete tahat sirky o to kdo má pravdu, nebo jakkoliv jinak. Důležité je se dohodnout rychle a neztrácet moc času.
Při stavbě (ale i při hře) pak je dobré si uvědomit, že nejen vy, ale i všichni oponenti mají k dispozici celých 168 karet, tedy dostatek materiálu a jejich balíky tomu budou svojí kvalitou patrně odpovídat, jejich kvalita bude často spíše na úrovni Intro packů než toho na co je člověk zvyklý z běžných sealed decků. Je mnohem pravděpodobnější, že váš soupeř bude mít v balíku nějakou neférovou bombu nebo celkově balík s velice dobrým plánem jak vyhrát, než že to bude naopak. Nechávat si ruce typu "třeba to dojde", sázet na to, že soupeř zabíjení nemá a dělat další podobná herní rozhodnutí vás vytrestá častěji než byste patrně čekali.
